Shire Toile

While looking at some toile patterns, I thought what would fit that kind of pastoral theme better than Middle-earth's Shire and its residents?  At least, I know I would rather have some hobbits and a visiting wizard tucked away on a patterned pillow instead of some random shepherds and milk maids.

I decided to take advantage of the long weekend and make a Shire themed toile pattern a reality.  After lots of drawing on Bristol board with my trusty micron pens and some arranging in Photoshop, I came up with what you see below.  I have also included a closer look at some of the details in the second image.

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.  I also think it looks great on the options that are available in my Society6 shop.  Also, as a bonus, I have a special promotion running in my shop right now.  If you click on this link to access my shop, you'll be able to get free shipping on your order.  The offer expires May 31, 2013 at Midnight Pacific Time.

Would you consider printing this on canvas fabric or linen? I'd love to make this into a dress and this is the best Shire toile I've found, but there's no fabric available!

You could get the print on fabric at Spoonflower.com which has tons of fabric choices...
