A Bit of Ocean in Her Hair

These two drawings are just an idea I'm trying to work out for a mermaid themed picture. The plan is for her to have lots of ocean inspired things in her hair in kind of an art nouveau type wreath and ribbons - fish, seaweed, coral, pearls, etc. The first drawing is a rough pencil sketch and the second is a more detailed inked version.

Special Feature on DeviantART - Love Rescue Me

I made this digital painting a little over a year ago, and today it was picked as a "Daily Deviation" on deviantART! I had received a Daily Deviation once before, and was not expecting to get another, so I was pleasantly surprised when this happened. It made me even happier that they picked this picture.

This picture was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Mermaid and the opening lyrics from a U2 song.
